The concrete mixer truck is a special truck used to transport concrete for construction. Due to its appearance, it is often referred to as a snail truck. These trucks are equipped with cylindrical mixing drums to carry the mixed concrete. During transportation, the mixing drum will always be kept rotating to ensure that the concrete carried will not solidify. After transporting concrete, the inside of the mixing drum is usually rinsed with water to prevent hardened concrete from occupying space and reducing the volume of the mixing drum.
The concrete mixer truck is composed of a car chassis, a mixing cylinder, a transmission system, a water supply device, and other parts. Due to technical bottlenecks, all four major components of domestic mixer trucks are imported components.
The mixing truck consists of a Class II chassis, transmission system, hydraulic system, rack, mixing tank, feeding and discharging device, water supply system, control system, personnel ladder, and other parts. The front end of the mixing tank is connected to the reducer and installed on the front of the rack, and the rear end is supported by two supporting wheels installed on the rear of the rack through a raceway.
The chassis of the concrete mixer truck produced mostly adopts the Class II general chassis provided by the vehicle manufacturer. Its special mechanism mainly includes power take-off, front and rear brackets of mixing drum, reducer, hydraulic system, mixing drum, operating mechanism, cleaning system, etc. The working principle is to take out the power of the car chassis through a power take-off device and drive the variable displacement pump of the hydraulic system to convert mechanical energy into hydraulic energy and transmit it to a quantitative motor. The motor then drives a reducer, which drives the mixing device to mix concrete.
